The Society is run by an Executive Committee and Officers who are elected by the membership biannually. The Committee appoints the Society’s Honorary President and Vice Presidents based.

We achieve our aim by stimulating debate on law and the worker through

– a national programme of evening meetings throughout the year,

– a one day Spring conference and

– an annual conference in September from Friday morning to Saturday afternoon.

– publishing the Industrial Law Journal which is a peer reviewed Journal with an international reputation.

The Society is unique in drawing our membership across the spectrum of the employment, discrimination and industrial relations community. It means that our meetings, conferences and other activities provide an excellent opportunity to consider current issues in employment law from a multi-disciplinary perspective. Our members are lawyers, academics, barristers, personnel practitioners, judiciary, trade union officials and educational establishments.
